I got scammed a few weeks back and reported the guy, But he hasnt been banned.

Alright let's sort things straight.

1 - We do not condone scamming, are you all stupid enough to think that we enjoy the fact that we have people using this site to rip-off other members? Obviously we are against this sort of action and we take steps to resolve and combat this.

2 - Yes, scamming threads can be overlooked sometimes if a staff member is not paying attention 24/7 (which happens, we have lives outside of TheTechGame), we have worked on combatting this by allowing members to report the offending threads which notifies staff of a thread breaking the rules. Whenever a staff member is then available then we take the appropriate action.

3 - You guys are saying that scammers get away with everything, I can personally assure you that they don't. I have I.P banned and suspended countless accounts over the years of people attempting to ruin this site through scamming. If it is obvious that a warning or a temporary ban is not going to impact the users attitude towards the site and they continue to disregard the rules then we will get rid of them as they are quite simply not welcome here.

Like I said above, we have a report feature for a reason. The site is far too large for staff to be watching every section every second and we are grateful that the members on here can assist us to clean up the site and remove the crap that no-one wants to deal with.
