First off never listen to anyone telling you to go down.
Second , KD has nothing to do with ranking up. Just worry about getting to decent rounds and having low to no downs. As to KD, that comes with being a good player , it's not depended on it. Play games till 30+ and end it with no downs. Doing that over and over during the course of a few days and you will rank up. Being a good player and concentrating on you skill, high rounds, and not going down during early rounds are the key points to ranking up. Do not listen to anyone telling you it's based off KD.

So if I get in a game go to round 40 no downs about 5 times I might get shot guns ??

I had to play 10 games all 40+ from mon night to Friday night . 2 games a day. One on easy right after work and one on original before I went to bed. Easy counts as much as original but there is speculation that it counts for " half a credit " compared to original if you get what I'm saying. Pretty much what you said about 5 games till 40 but after a long day at work I wanted to ease into the night starting with easy and ending it with hard.

Again this is also not true. Stats do not have any effect on ranking you up at all.

What will I have to do then ?

You need to go as high into the rounds as you can without going down consecutively. If you play custom it's easier to end the game if you get trapped because it's ends the game right away as opposed to solo where you can still take hits and go down even after you end the game. Do not go down more than once per game. More than one down , especially early in the game or dying early , will take even longer to rank up. Play at least two a day for a couple days. You will get them.

You need to go high rounds with little downs. When I was getting shotguns on my 2nd account and after I got my stats reset I had about 31k kills and under 10 downs then I got them. Also had another account that would't seem to get them for awhile. It took me 72k kills to get them with 6 downs then I got them

Thats weird. Because I have a 79 on Origins with 1 down, 70 on Die Rise with 0 downs, and a 66 on Buried with 1 down. Please enlighten me why I do not have shotguns then. Over 150k kills, 112 downs, 1127 perks bought, 2111 doors opened, 4.23 hit ratio, and over 1000 miles traveled.
