Funeral fit for a Jedi: Little boys Star Wars ceremony after losing brain tumour battle

Jack Robinsons coffin arrived on a horse-drawn carriage which was escorted by storm troopers at an emotional farewell organised by his family.

One of the floral tributes to the four-year-old read Jedi while other wreaths were arranged in the shapes of a lightsaber, master Yoda and droid R2D2.

The ceremonys order of service read, Master Jack Robinson, joined the Force 1st April 2014, while a brass band played films theme The Binary Sunset.

Scores of people lined the streets in Denmead, Hampshire, to pay their respects after Jacks parents Terence and Marie Robinson made the funeral public.

According to the Daily Mail, Mrs Robinson said: I had 10 weeks to think about the funeral and I wanted to do something different and special for him.

I wanted Jacks funeral to have a twist, because he was so unique.

The ceremony was followed by a private family burial at a nearby cemetery.

Jack touched the hearts of thousands when it emerged the youngster had compiled a bucket list to complete once his tumour as diagnosed as terminal.

Meeting Gary Barlow was on his to do list and the Take That frontman responded to the request with a Tweet reading, Im on it, before visiting him at Southampton General Hospital.

And in a one-minute video filmed in Texas, US, actor Matt Smith sang the Doctor Who theme tune to the youngster.

Following Jacks death on April 1, Barlow tweeted a tribute to the boys bravery.

That's so cute, He's such a brave man for going through that kind of a battle. Props to his parents and al those who helped put that together.

Wow just wow...that's very sad that the family had to go through that and the kid had to go through that as well

R.I.P Jack Robinson

I attended the game at Fratton Park, not last weekend, the one before, where a minutes silence was held for the poor kid.

What a brave little lad, a new star shines bright in the sky.
