Yes you can get banned because any type of modding on cod can get you banned but on mw2 it is very unlikely you will I got all unlocks and 10th on my account 2years ago and I still have not been banned

Also there is so many people doing it on mw2 you probly will not get banned

Imma going to add onto what the user above me said. Just because a lot of people do it doesn't mean you won't get ban. The odds are kinda rare on older games because users don't care to report people. Your only problem is people who report. If you were to go on like BO2 or ghosts or even MW3 to mod, you will get reported a lot because its not common on those games and users don't like it.
