U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama gets her lunch at Parklawn Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia January 25, 2012.

Students around the US can blame First Lady Michelle Obama and the US Department of Agriculture when they cant get their junk-food fix, or have to rely on fruit juice to satisfy their sweet tooth next school year.

Starting July 1, schools will no longer be able to sell unhealthy junk food in cafeterias, vending machines or at bake sale fundraisers that occur during school hours, according to a new mandate from the USDA. Schools will have to replace the junk with nutritious items. But that healthy food has its own set of requirements.

How do you guys/girls in school feel about this? I myself would be quite mad and annoyed if I was still in school. I feel like a lot of kids are just going to bring their own junk food now. As if they already didn't.

I never ate lunch at my school anyway, best thing to get anyway is pizza or a bag of chips.

During my senior of high school they didn't sell candy bars or drinks with sugar during lunch. They also changed a lot of the daily lunches. I didn't find it that bad.

So, there going to be banning school lunches? I'm fine with that.

Seroiusly, her heart is in the right place, but **** you, Michelle. She probably dosent even know what our lunches are like. I'm willing to bet that the school didn't give her an average student lunch.

Personally it doesn't bother me as I'm not in school anymore. I will say though, I hardly ate school lunches to begin with it, I would always bring my own food from home and now and then eat school lunch if I was up for it.
