Why do people watch reality shows? It's entertaining for some and not others. I wouldn't touch anime with a 10 foot pole, but you can't put down what others like.

Because it's entertaining. Not everything is hentai either, though I will agree with your point about this to an extent especially where loli's are concerned... Not really fair to put down what some people enjoy just because you think it's stupid though, some series's have superb plotlines and themes that wouldn't be the same if they were acted out with real people in my opinion.
