I'm sure plenty of you guys have heard of Lucid Dreaming if not in short definition it's where you are able to control your dreams, a Google search will be more descriptive. I was going to attempt to do Lucid Dremaing until I heard about Sleep Paralysis, when I start recalling it's happened to me quite often. It is the worst feeling I have ever had, you have no power or anything. Have you ever have sleep paralysis? Is so what happened?

Sleep paralysis - A phenomenon in which people, either when falling asleep or wakening, temporarily experience an inability to move.

Source Google.

OT: I have its pretty weird and scary :O but I've tried and succeeded a few times.

I've had sleep paralysis one time, by far one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me.
I was laying in my recliner and I had dozed off, when I was awakened by something, I couldn't move or make any sound (call for help) it was almost like I was dead but I could still see. I was forced to sit there and watch my clock on my cable box for around 20 minutes while hearing whispering behind me. The whole time I was straining to move. It felt as if my mind was a awake, but my body wasn't, or as if I was being held down, finally when I could move I sprinted to my parents room and told them about it.

It was extremely terrifying.

I can often lucid dream, there have been times where i can close my eyes and be dreaming lucidly then open them but a second later to be awake, only to close them again and be dreaming (for the 1-3 seconds my eyes were closed it felt like 10min to a half hour in my lucid state). I lucid dream anywhere from 2-3 times a week but I have only had sleep paralysis once. If you learn to control your mind, lucid dreaming can be an activity!

I last had sleep paralysis about two years ago when I was 16 and it was the scariest thing I have ever had happen to me. It felt like something was pushing down on my chest and no matter how hard I tried to move my arms I couldn't. This was only for around 15 seconds but felt like an hour!

I've had sleep paralysis without even having lucid dreamed, sometimes only my arms are just not working, other times my whole body is just stiff and I can't do anything. Scary the first time but I got over it, usually just wears off within a short time.

I experienced sleep paralysis and possibly a lucid dream the other night.

I was in my bed, surrounded by deformed people that were in my face, staring at me. I knew I was dreaming, but couldn't move or wake up. Finally woke up... at 3AM (which is terrifying for other reasons, for those who know what I'm talking about).

3/10 would not recommend.

I think I may of experienced sleep paralysis and Lucid dreaming a few months back, can anyone tell me if i had or not?

I can remember waking up really panicky and dehydrated but couldn't move and remember looking at my door, while this was going on it seemed like i was dreaming at the same time but being able to see both my dream and the one part of my bedroom but not being able to move feeling helpless. i can remember lots of people running and screaming whilst i was just staring at the wall, it felt as if i couldn't move for hours looking at the one part of my wall and also seeing people. Its worries me just thinking about it. I cant remember how long it went on for but as soon as i was able to move i went down stairs really hot, sweaty and dehydrated.

Still scares me just thinking about it, really don't want it to happen again
