Hello. I am very disappointed with the new xbox one and I have always been interested in PC and PC gaming, particularly Fallout and Skyrim. I am asking for advice on some good basic parts like Mobo, amount of RAM, GPU, etc. I know 8gb of RAM is perfect. I am wanting to play Skyrim and Fallout 3 and New Vegas on highest settings, and with a large amount of mods and most likely large retexture packs like NMCs texture pack. I really want all the big and cool mods really. Project Nevada, FWE, WRP, etc. I most likely will be overclocking CPU. I really want to have a good motherboard that can support 8gb of RAM at least, and can support an I5 processor(I really only want Intel unless AMD has a better and cheaper equivalent) . I don't plan on having miltiple screens or anyrhing, so my GPU shouldnt need more than 1gb of its own RAM. I have a EVGA GTS 250 1gb for my standard at home pc that I got to see if I was genuinely interested in gaming. From what I have read, this card isn't at all bad. It doesn't generate any exess heat much. So yeah. I really just want advise on a good Mobo that is effecient, and will be able to support what I want.
I can lay everything out if needed. Budget would be 1,000 to 1, 200 dollars. I can get a good monitor and mouse. I have Windows 7 Ultimate. I can take care Monitor, mouse and Keyboard.

A budget would be a good thing to know.

A few more things that we would need to know:
Do you need a monitor?
Do you need a KB/Mouse?
Do you need an OS?

Why a H60? Cheaper air coolers can do far better than that piece of poo..

Yeah, this is good. Processor is perfect, its an I5 quad which is excly what I want. RAM is spot on, but I don't think ill need a CPU cooler, at least, not untill I overclock. Would it be okay to have a Graphics card with only 1gb of RAM? I won't be having muliple screens or rendering, just pure one screen gaming. I know only 1gb of a GPUs RAM can be used for gaming, when doing anything else is the only time it can use more than 1gb, so I think I would have a 1gb card. I have a copy of Win 7 Ultimate, as I do not like Win 8 and I can't run Fallout 3 with anyway. What is a good Wattage for power supply? Not to knowledgeable about them.....Anyway thanks for that link, a very good setup to base off of

That build ain't the best it could be.

He included a CPU cooler and a k series i5 but no z87 motherboard, so no overclocking abilities.

If you are going to be using texture mods/general mods for Skyrim then that requires a decent amount of VRAM for a frame buffer.

A 550w PSU will be fine for this build. You could possible even run that on a good quality 450w unit.

When overclocking on Haswell, NEVER use a 212 EVO. It won't be able to cool of the amount of access heat that the CPU gives off on even a slight overclock.
A rather overkill PSU, a 550w XFX/550w Rosewill HIVE will be fine, and cheaper.
I'd also get a better case.
