I just installed a new radio into my car. now everytime i turn off my car my subs pop. there pretty loud and i dont think they should be doing that. any suggestions. i was looking online at a few forums and everyone said check the ground wire. i did that. its fine. i made sure its bolted down to the chassis. no paint. tight. snug in my amp.

Check your wiring. Can't think of any thing else that would cause this.

Make sure the amplifier output is correct for the subwoofers. It could be your amplifier sending way to much wattage to the subs. If the amp is correct for them, than make sure the subs are wired the correct way (series vs. parallel). In a series circuit, the load impedance increases. In a parallel circuit, the load impedance decreases. Check with the amp and sub combination to figure out the best circuit. Your ground is stable enough due to the amp powering on, if it wasn't stable it would make various noises, so maybe try a different ground. I grounded my amp to a seatbelt bolt, using the ground terminal that was supplied with my wiring kit.

It wouldn't hurt to leave some information about what equipment you have. Feel free to message me, and i'll try to help you out.

(I've installed a couple of audio systems, including one in my car)
