Game Information

Genre: Puzzle
Players: 1

Synopsis
Connect the cubes in 165+ levels of deliciously fruity fun set in a tropical paradise with pirates, mermaids, witches, and much more! Solve tons of challenging puzzles as you set sail for the sweetest and fruitiest adventure around!

Gameplay
For players that are a huge fan of the developer's other addicting game Candy Crush Saga, Juice Cubes is right up their alley for fun and addiction. Juice Cubes, just like Candy Crush, requires players to connect 3 or more cubes in a row, only in Juice Cubes can the player connect cubes diagonally which should make it easier to complete certain levels. As with starting out the game, the beginning will prove really no challenge to players that have played other games similar to Juice Cubes. Players will be required to beat levels by meeting certain criteria the level requires. Some levels will require the player to clear up all the sand spaces by connecting cubes in those spaces with the sand. Some will require to reach a certain score amount within the time limit given. And some levels will require players to have the sand buckets reach the bottom of the columns of cubes to be collected. As players progress through higher levels, the difficulty will increase, by having cube spaces be covered after each turn if the player doesn't destroy the sand on that turn. Some spaces will be blocked by seashells which can be broken by connecting cubes next to the shell spaces. If players connect 4 or more cubes, they will receive a special power-up. Some power-ups will explode all cubes in a certain direction or just explode cubes that are within the blast radius. If a player completes a level while they still have extra turns remaining, they will receive a power-up for each turn thats left that gives the player extra bonuses at the end of the level.

Graphics
For players that have played Candy crush, they should find some similarities between both games. The on-screen prompts are nice and clear to read which shouldn't strain the player's eyes. Juice Cubes shows a vast variety of colors shown throughout the world and levels of the game. The little creatures that show up upon the map are detailed and players can easily see what sea creature they resemble. The textures are well compact and balanced, the contrast between the bright colors are just appealing to the player's eyes. The bright colors fit perfectly with the background and doesn't become vague and boring with receptions of the same colors being shown.

Controls
The controls are very simple that even a toddler could even understand the simple control functions. A simple glide on the screen with the player's finger is all that is required to function the game properly. For some players that have too large of a finger might have to use their pinky since their finger is too big and might click on the wrong cube since the cubes are close together and have little space between them. For players that experience trouble like this, it would be best to use a stylus to increase and have a better function for the game and not have to experience difficulty for a simple game. Overall, just like Candy Crush, the game is very easily understandable to know how the controls and functions of the game.

Rating
