Synopsis:
Command & Conquer Generals puts your trigger finger on the pulse of modern warfare. Choose a General in control of massive armies of bleeding-edge military weaponry across a globe teetering on the brink of Armageddon. Command either the mighty U.S. Army, the Chinese war machine or the resourceful Global Liberation Army, each packed with high-tech arsenals ready to deliver unprecedented firepower on land or in the skies. Prepare your forces, Commander...

Plot:
Command & Conquer:Generals is set in the near future with USA and China being the 2 dominant world super powers. There is also a faction called the Global Liberation Army which is a terrorist organization who are targeting them both. USA and China are forced to combine forces to defeat the GLA.
There are 3 different campaigns where you can play as the 3 different factions.
The GLA campaign starts off with you as a GLA general regrouping your forces in Central Asia to gather funds and bio weapons, in the mean time you are also fighting against the both China and USA and a GLA splinter cell.
The Chinese campaign starts off with you as a Chinese General who is gathering his allies after a nuke went of in Beijing to stop the attack by the GLA on Three Gorges Dam.
The USA campaign is a joint mission with china, you are both forming an alliance in destroying a GLA base in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Gameplay:
The gameplay in Command & Conquer Generals are similar to games like Starcraft and Sid Meier's Civilization.
This game is offline and online the campaign of the game is set in 3 separate campaigns where you are 1 of the 3 factions in the game. There is also a skirmish mode where you can choose your own map to battle on, you can choose any of the three faction for yourself and the computers and you can choose what difficulty they are and you can choose which teams you are all on or it can be a complete free for all. The online part of the game is similar to the skirmish mode but online except playing online would be a bit different since the other player isn't some mindless enemy it's a real life person who can make their own decisions. You can also make your own maps online to face each other on (you can also use these maps on offline skirmish).
The aim of the game is to gather resources to be able to afford to build your base and buy you army and defenses to fight your enemy.
Each unit has it's own weakness and advantage. Each unit also has a form of experience which you gain from that unit killing enemies, the more that unit kills other units the more experience it gains and to therefore level up being more powerful.
There's also something call general abilities which you unlock by gaining experience from killing you enemies, these abilities can really give you an advantages over you enemy.

Graphics:
The graphics of this game where really high-end during 2003 and not only were the graphics amazing it ran smoothly as well. Even to this day in my opinion for a game like Command & Conquer:Generals the graphics are still amazing. Everything is really clear you can easily read the map of the game world you get and even the units are decently detailed. The environment also doesn't let down the game graphics of the game as they are pretty detailed as well.

Controls:
The controls of the game are pretty simplistic in my opinion it's just point and click and highlight, unless you want to learn the hot keys. The control are basically click on what buildings you want to build, Highlight your units by click and dragging your mouse over them and then clicking where you want them to go. You can also use super weapons by clicking on the image of it and using the symbol it shows on the map to use it in that position.

My Reasons for thinking it's a good game:

I love base building games so this is an obvious choice for me.

The games campaigns are a good length and it also gradually gets harder and doesn't put you into a level your not prepared for or that's too easy for you.

The skirmishes are fun since you can have up to 8 armies in one game.

You can play on other people own made maps.

The game has an endless amount of fun un like some games where you can get bored of it because you have already completed the campaign but on this you have 3 campaigns and you have offline and online skirmishes which can be really intense if you and the opposing side is roughly at the same level of experience in the game.
