why would you send Welker, who has to have a helmet which makes him look like Lord Helmet, to try to take out Aqib? I saw interviews where several Patriots players disagreed with the accusations. I don't think it was on purpose as that's how the play was supposed to be ran.

EDIT: What i find funny is that the receiver drops the ball. This play has been shown thousands of times now and i bet that receiver cringes every time lol

When the super bowl is on the lines, trust me theyll do anything. But what wes did was planned, he watched talib, he broke his route to go after talib, and he probably wasn't trying to take him out, but he probably was trying to stop him form making a move on the other receiver.

I do agree with you that Welker wasn't even attempting to get open. It does look like he lowered his shoulder a tad. It's a little suspicious acutally.

I agree Talib most likely wasnt supposed to get injured. But after the injury the entire game went down for the Patriots.

Didn't look like it was on purpose.

And what suprises me is people are saying, that talib is way to big for Wes to do any damage to. Which is total crap. I played football as a ROLB at 6'5 at 250lbs and even when their was an accidental collision at full speed, it was a horrible expereinced. and Cause equal amounts of pain.

Not only that, but Talib wasn't even aware that Welker was coming, whereas Welker knew what he was going to do from the start of the play. People don't take that into consideration. Welker could take out Vince Wilfork if he isn't paying attention to him. It's not that complicated.
