Ok, so lets start of by saying that of course not every youtuber is a 'money whore' but yes they do exist and it annoys me so much. I will break it down into what really bugs me

Misleading Title / thumbnail
So many youtubers now spam the title with caps saying NEW WOW DISCOVERED SECRET etc.. and the thumbnail of the video will be an edited picture. Now, when i watch the video, i see that it has nothing to do with what the title claims and the thumbnail was just a lie? Waste of time....

Video length
If the average length of your videos is just over 1 minute long, the shortest time needed for you to make money from it, then i think you should just stop. I see all these 'big' channels just putting in no effort into a video, making it 1:02 seconds long and then they just get so much $$$ from it.

'Like and comment'
Remember to like, comment, favourite and share the video.... This phrase which is repeated every 10 seconds throughout the video just drives me crazy. I understand a reminder but its as if you are forcing me to do it, and i don't even think the video deserves it anyway.

The comments
'You're such an inspiration' - how can you look up to someone who it just using you earn some money? Seriously think about it....

Rant over - sorry if you are a youtuber and you feel offended by my opinion but yeah.

I agree with this to an extent. For Youtubers who put an effort into their videos and are partnered they will ask you to like and subscribe because they put their time and effort into making something for your enjoyment.

People who are partnered count on YouTube to make their living, not all but some. People like MinessotaBurns, SSSniperWolf, Seananners, Syndicate.

Onto the video length issue. I have not seen many people on YouTube make 1:00 videos and use ad's to profit off of them. If you could point one out that'd be great.

You also need to look at it from their perspective. Many of the famous youtubers do their job for a living. I understand when you're like RayWilliamJohnson which only cares about the money, but other people have a family to look after and bills to pay. With new members joining every day, channels are created daily and the average amount of subcribers per youtuber increases rapidly.

If they don't constantly ask their viewers for support or ask users to subscribe, they'll fall behind. Each time they sign a contract it'll be for less and less money. So you also have to think about it that way.

I agree with your thread for the most part, but also think you should look at it from the people who actually need the money's perspective. Someday, when you have a job and a family to look after, you'll understand that doing your best at work must be a priority if you want to survive in such a competitive world.

Cheers

A lot of them do it as their full time job, so they need the money.

Exactly why I quit doing YouTube. People begged me to do videos when they just wanted money. Everything became about money. I couldn't make a friend through YouTube without them asking about money. It was sickening.

I agree. YouTubers have been going downhill lately.

Most of them BEG for likes and have more than 2 channels.

Take Killer Keemstar for example. IMO he has way too may channels. To make it better he has T-Shirts shops for all of them lol.

There are very few Youtubers nowadays who care about the community. :/

Syndicate, Jericho, Gold Glove, LoadingGodMode, frankiein1080onpc

All of them care about their fans.
