The franchise 'MaddenNFL' has been almost identical to its counterparts in the last 3 years or so. The graphics on the game are at an extreme low quality on next gen consoles compared to 2K14. I have not yet played 2K14 yet, but from what I've seen the game looks far more entertaining and worth the extra 60$ a year. One thing that really irritates me is the gameplay of Madden the most. Holy interceptions, left and right all the time no matter what pass you throw on certain plays it is almost always picked off by someone who in real life cannot catch to save their own life. Also the most important reason the game is so dull, the exact same commentary for every single injury, long pass, kickoff, pre-game, and long TD run. Am the only one who notices it? The commentators [Jim Nantz and Phill Sims] do not even get excited if an amazing play happens. Lets say a 80 YD TD run they just 'oh wow that was a good run by the running back finding the right hole and getting in for the touchdown' Note: They say this everytime. I just wish EA would step up there game a bit and not expect to buy this game every single year and be disappointed. What are your thoughts?

The problem is they don't need to make a better game.
EA owns the rights to every players name, announcers, and fields. Really no other game company could even make a realistic football game without being sued out of business.
With this, they have no competition, thus no reason to even try to make a better game as long as people keep buying them.

That's even more disappointing. If only 2K could make a football game. I'd buy that for sure.

Sorry but I have nba 2k14 and Madden 25. Both for next gen. In real life there is supposed to be interceptions. Complaining about throwing them? That's ur bad read then. It's all about your gameplay, your playbook, reading the defense. Failing to do that will be thrown as an interception. One other thing if 2k was making a new madden I wouldn't buy it for 10$ at most. Nba 2k14 is great, sweet features, BUT there servers are down pretty much 3/4 the game has been out. I'm lucky if I can even get to play online and that is very disapointing. Madden is great servers is pretty much never down, and the game is great.

I agree that the commentary needs improvement big time.But the interceptions are just bad reads on your part.

In a way, EA has a monopoly on their part. They sell amazingly but the quality is bad.

okay buddy, judging by your profile pic you are obviously bias. He stated that he has seen gameplay and there for he is judging it off of that. No need to try and defend Madden, it is a pretty crappy game and franchise but like he said, us customers don't have a choice. There aren't any other franchises.
