So if you rep me, does your rep go away?
How do you get REP?
How did the REP+ start , did a admin give people like 1000 rep to give away?

You can receive reputation from other members or get it by posting
25 Posts = 1 Rep Power
100 reputation points = 1 rep power
You are given reputation points from other users. for example if i gave you 50 rep you wouldn't get 50 reputation power you would get 50 reputation points.

When you rep someone your existing reputation does not go away.
As for how rep started. I presume that people originally gained it through posting and it went from there. I haven't been around for long enough to be certain of this though
