It is with great sadness that I have to share the news of the passing of Chubz or Colin to myself and others. On Tuesday afternoon Colin was found unconscious at his home, his father and myself attempted to revive him. Paramedics soon arrived and after a long fight we were informed nothing more could be done to save him.
Colin was my cousin and best friend, he was an administrator who cared to no end about the site and its members. Colin was only in his early 20's, he had so much more to give to this world and he will be missed.
I've done my best to reach out to the number of users who had a close relationship with Colin.
I am sorry for your loss.
I felt it was important to inform the community of his passing as he had many friends here. Personal thanks to those of you who are already aware and have sent us such kind words.
No more details will be given at this point, I would appreciate if this thread be kept free of speculation.

Chubz was a true brother to me. Anytime I had an issue in real life, I could always text him and he would help me out. If I just needed somebody to talk to about personal things, he was there. I'm glad I met him, if it wasn't for him, I probably would no longer be using this site. He was just an outstanding guy. He is the reason why I say "mate" a lot, haha. I had some good times with him on xbox and whenever I derped he was there to make fun of me. I will miss that the most from him. I'm in tears right now just typing this, I just can't believe he is gone.
He will NEVER be forgotten, he is in my heart.

We say he's gone, but he isn't really gone. He'll never truly be "gone" because his spirit will live on through the memories of his family, TTG family or real family. He is someone that was very friendly and serious when need be. When I would talk to him I could always count on help or a good laugh. There's no real way of getting over something like this, we lost a great guy. As long as we have each other he will live on in our TTG family.

Chubz was an incredible guy, he was always a great guy to talk to and a joy to be around. I remember playing with him on Xbox. It's incredibly sad that we lost such an outstanding guy. My prayers are with his family and loved ones.

The first time I met Chubz I had heard some rumors as to who he was and how he was some mean guy. Little did I know that after talking to him for a matter of hours all of those rumors about Chubz were wrong. Over time I started to really get to know Chubz and became really close to him. We would always banter back and forth too each other on LIVE and honestly I wouldn't have traded a minute of that for anything in the world. I cherish the time I got to know you and become one of your friends. You and Sean mean a great deal to me and I've learned valuable things from you buddy.
It just seems surreal that when I get on I can't message you and talk the crap to each other that we use to. No, it wasn't out of hate but simply because we were brothers. That's why I take this loss not like someone from the site dying but like losing a brother.
Things keep running through my head every time I think about it but one things stands out the most. "Only the good die young." I never really understood it until now but this now speaks the world to me. You were truly one of the best men I knew in the world. Even though we were an ocean apart I still thought of you like a brother.

This truly is tragic news to us as a community. For all those who had the pleasure of interacting with Chubz whether it be online, on the site, on Xbox or even IRL know what a fun loving, caring human being he was. A real genuine man who was full of life and willing to give. Life is so unfair sometimes and takes the good far far to young. A situation such as Chubz passing really makes you reflect on life and just enjoy it while you have it. Life is a gift not a promise so live it to its fullest and be you.
Chubz would not want us to grieve he would want to see us live our life's happy and filled with good friends and laughter, I'm sure it would rip him apart to see it totally dislodge us from our day to day life sure this is a speed bump, but speed bumps slow you down temporarily they don't stop you, they say a person passes twice once when they take their last breath and once when their name is said for the last time and the last memory of them is shared. For those who knew Chubz you can guarantee that stories, memories and laughter will be shared between his friends, family and loved ones forever there fore Chubz is immortal, sure he may not be here with us but he still lives amongst us. Remember the good times and never let a mist of negativity blur your positive thoughts.

The more I seem to think about this the more I find it almost unbelieveable. For such good young person to be gone in a moments notice you find yourself dumbstruck by the events. When ever I spoke to Chubz he always made everyone in a good mood with him just being him. I think its a shame that I couldn't get to know him better. Chubz may be gone but he will live on TTG forever.

It was a shock to hear that someone I regularly talk to online had passed away. He was a valued member of the site and a friend. It isn't something you think you will be dealing with when you venture online.
I have known Sean for years and through him met Chubz. Chubz was a unique character, clearly different from his cousin Sean. Where Sean would be reserved on a issue; Chubz was in your face, he definitely knew how to stand up for what he thought was right.
I spent ten days with Chubz and some others last year in LA while we attended E3. During those ten days I got to know Chubz better as we explored the city. I won't say we didn't butt heads during the trip but at the end of our trip we had become better friends for the experiences shared.
Chubz was a definite asset for both TTG and his family. One thing I learned during our LA trip was that he deeply cared about members of his extended family as if they were his own. I feel that willingness to assist those in need is a trait severely lacking in our world, Chubz exemplified what it meant to help others in need.
The world has lost a caring warden in Chubz, RIP Colin.

It's absolutely crazy how your world can be flipped upside down out of nowhere.
Colin (Chubz) was a completely genuine guy. He looked out for absolutely everyone and would listen to you about an issue even if it seemed utterly ridiculous just to try and help you out. I had many times where I would be on a low and within 2 minutes of chatting to Colin I would be howling with laughter and forget all about my worries.
It was amazing how much he dedicated of himself to others. He very easily could have shut himself away and worried about himself but he would always be looking to get involved with everyone, especially online here at TheTechGame. He was constantly within the shoutbox and on xbox chatting away to you guys and it's heartbreaking that it is now unfortunately a thing of the past.
He was such a great guy and i'm just upset I never got the chance to spend time with him and share a beer together. He got himself into some crazy situations but he didn't deserve to pass away so young.
Colin, it was an absolute honour knowing you and you will be dearly missed mate.
