Post your own reviews here - if a review is good enough, and if the staff agree with it, it will be published as an official TTG Game Review.

Rules to follow if you want your review made official:
1. Users are permitted to copy only the manufacturers description of the game (synopsis). 2. You must have played the game.
3. All review parameters (gameplay/graphics/controls/etc) must be your own words.
4. Reviews must contain a rating from 1 to 10 - again this must be your own rating.

We are looking to create a wide selection of game reviews - but we want our own, not the reviews of other sites. We would far prefer your own reviews (regardless of size/quality) over that of one which has been copied from another site.

WARNING: All reviews will be checked prior to use - any official review that is found to be a copy and paste from another site will be deleted. Any user that is found to be stealing reviews from other sites repeatedly will be ignored as a future reviewer. While we will be checking these reviews before making any of them official, one may slip past our radar now and then. IF YOU SEE AN OFFICIAL REVIEW THAT HAS BEEN COPIED FROM ANOTHER SITE THEN PM US WITH THE LINK TO THE ORIGINAL SOURCE AND WE WILL REMOVE IT AS AN OFFICIAL REVIEW. Note that this doesn't matter for unofficial reviews posted in this sticky. Make sure to create a copy of your review as declined submissions will now be deleted.

Notes: The gravedigging rule does not apply in this forum.
The synopsis is not the plot, you need to review the plot yourself.

Developer - Capcom Vancouver
Publisher - Microsoft Studios
Series Dead Rising
Engine Forge Engine
Platform Xbox One
Release date November 22, 2013
Genre Survival Horror
Mode Single- Player, Online co-op
Distribution Blu-ray Disc

-GAMEPLAY-

In the recent installment of the Dead Rising series, the game introduces a new protagonist Nick Ramos. Dead Rising 3 is an open world environment that is larger than any thing we have seen in the series before The world is said to be bigger than Dead Rising, and Dead Rising 2 put together.

Dead Rising 3 uses the same crafting method as Dead Rising 2 but changed a few things that are worth noting such as you no longer need a crafting bench to create combo weapons you can create them fast and on the move. Another feature was added to the crafting system which allows you to combine vehicles and create a combo vehicle according to Capcom Vancouver, driving vehicles will be "a critical part of exploration" as players navigate the city of Los Perdidos.

Capcom Vancouver has found a great way of implementing both Kinect and Xbox Smart Glass. The optional Kinect feature adds a sense of awareness were one small noise can trigger one huge mob of zombies. Bringing a whole new aspect to the game, which makes the game fresh and new.

-STORY-

Dead Rising 3 takes place around 10 years after Dead Rising 2. The story is about a mechanic Nick Ramos and his attempts to survive the zombie hordes in the city of Los Perdidos, California. Nick must find rescue and escape the doomed city that is being targeted by a military strike.

A lot of action takes place on the first day, Nick makes his way to the bridge to escape the city to a quarantine were they could find supplies, but soon realized an infection broke out inside causing them to try their luck else-were. Nick makes his way back to a diner where his friends are taking refuge. Rhonda Nicks boss and Annie an infected girl, start to argue which brings attention to them causing the zombies to wonder toward the diner. Eventually the zombies broke in, Peter and his mother are killed Nick and the others make it to Rhondas auto shop to figure out what they need to do next. Nick finds a walkie-talkie on a zombie that leads to a slight amount of relief when another survivor answers their attempt at contacting other groups of survivors.

-GRAPHICS-

Since the game is on the next gen consoles, we can say there was a lot of time and preparation put into the graphics in this game to show off the true power of the next gen consoles.

Personally I haven't experienced any problems with the graphics but its possible that someone has experienced graphical errors.

-CONTROLS-

Coming from a call of duty player there are obvious differences when it comes to controls, but overall it doesn't take long to get the hang of. This makes for a great experience for everyone interested in getting into the game.

-RATING AND OPINION-

Gameplay - 8/10
Story 10/10
Graphics 8.5/10
Controls 7/10

Overall 8.5/10

The game was amazing, I enjoyed almost every second of it and I hope you guys do as well, it is worth the money.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Developer

Bethesda Game Studios

Gameplay

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an action role-playing game, playable from either a first- or third-person perspective. The game is presented as an open world, allowing the player free roam over Skyrim, a large, open environment. The player may navigate the game world faster by riding horses, or by utilizing a fast-travel system that allows the player to warp to previously-discovered cities, towns and dungeons. A perpetual objective for the player is to develop their character. At the beginning of the game, the player creates their character by selecting one of several human, elven, or anthropomorphic races, and then customizes their character's appearance. Over the course of the game, the player improves their character's skills, which are numerical representations of their ability in certain areas. There are eighteen skills divided evenly between the three schools of combat, magic and stealth. When the player has trained skills enough to meet the required experience, their character levels up.

Storyline

Skyrim is not a direct sequel to Oblivion, but a new chapter in The Elder Scrolls series, set 200 years after the events of Oblivion. As with previous The Elder Scrolls games, Skyrim begins with the player character as an unknown prisoner. The player was caught in an Imperial ambush while attempting to cross the border into Skyrim, on a wagon with several Stormcloak soldiers, Ulfric Stormcloak himself, and a horse thief. They are all headed to Helgen to be executed. As the player character is about to be beheaded, a Dragon arrives, interrupting the execution and destroying the town. The player eventually learns that Skyrim's civil war is the last in a sequence of prophetic events foretold by the Elder Scrolls, which also predicted the return of Alduin, the Dragon-god of destruction. Alduin is prophesied to destroy the races of Men and Mer, and consume the world. The player character is the latest "Dovahkiin", a Dragonborn, an individual with the body of a mortal and the soul of a Dragon. Dovahkiin are anointed by the gods to help fend off the threat Alduin and other dragons pose to Skyrim and Tamriel. Among the individuals aiding the player are Delphine and Esbern, two of the last remaining Blades, and Master Arngeir, a member of the Greybeards. The players main objective is to defeat Alduin.

Trine 2

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Game Information
Release Date: December 20, 2011
Developers: Frozenbyte
Publishers: Altuz, Frozenbyte
Platforms: Microsoft Windows OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Wii U
Genre: Platform/puzzle, Action role-playing game

Synopsis

This is a side-scrolling adventure game in which players guide a thief, a wizard, and a knight on a quest to defend a kingdom from encroaching threats. As players utilize each character's unique skills to solve physics-based puzzles and navigate across platforms, they use swords, hammers, bows, and magic spells to kill an assortment of fantastical creatures (e.g., goblins, giant insects, lizard men). The sometimes frenetic combat is highlighted by sword-slashing effects and cries of pain; some enemies emit splashes of green liquid when hit, and others break apart when defeated.

Gameplay

The characters are the same and you start the game with the Trine forcing a meeting with them once more. So you play with each one of the three for a bit before gaining dominion of them for good. One interesting thing is that at occasions the characters interact with the narrator of the game, providing a good balance, breaking down the monotony of the monologue that took place at the beginning of each chapter and creating a sense that they are too participating the story being told. Voice acting is at its best here.

Graphics

The graphics are the best part of Trine 2. And for that you will have a nice options that are all great. Music is compelling and you will be push forward by its sound. Accompanying the game's gorgeous presentation is a soundtrack that is as appealing on its own as the visuals. If anyone ever played and loved Lost Vikings on Sega, this game is definitely for you. This Nvidia phys X physics engine is still limited to a two dimensional game but I can see it expanding further. Although this time around the engine can pump out even pretties graphics and textures which I didn't think was possible.

Controls

The game will get annyoign sometimes when you try to jump on the ledge or swing over and get the orb or vial. It's not the fault of the controls, it's the gravity that often prevent you from conducting maneuvers. If you already played Trine, the game is similar to this version with barely refined controls. For people who haven't, you can go ahead and start here because Trine has a very bare bones story and is completely forgettable.

Ratings (Personal)
Game play: 8/10
Graphics: 9/10
Controls: 8/10
Overall: 8.5/10
In general the game is quite easy. It does not call for a repeated frustration. There are plenty of checkpoints that will resurrect your dead companions and there are almost always more than one way of overcoming an obstacle. Get this game, and enjoy it. The reward far exceeds the value (only $ 15). The bottom line is that this game makes you regret that the world of Trine is only confined to a video game.

Call of Duty: World at War

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Developers

Treyarch
Exakt Entertainment
Rebellion Developments
n-Space

Publisher

Activision Blizzard

Release Date

November 11th, 2008 (United States)
November 14th, 2008 (Europe)

Gameplay

World at War is a game in the Call of Duty series, and features a more mature theme than its previous installments. The game is also open-ended, giving the player multiple ways to complete objectives. The gameplay of World at War shares several features with previous iterations of the franchise. Players fight alongside AI-controlled teammates. They help during the game's missions by providing cover fire, shooting down enemies, and clearing rooms for entry.

Campaign

During the single-player campaign, the player controls three different characters from a first-person perspective. The player first assumes the role of Private C. Miller of the United States Marine Corps' 1st Division in the Pacific campaign. He is captured by the Japanese, but is rescued by Corporal Roebuck and his men from the Marine Raiders squad, during the Makin Island raid. Other notable non-playable characters of the Marine Raiders unit include Sergeant Tom Sullivan and Private Polonsky. Sullivan dies during the campaign and either Roebuck or Polonsky die depending on the player's actions. Private Dimitri Petrenko, the second playable character, fights on the Eastern Front with Sergeant Viktor Reznov.

Storyline

The American campaign is set in the Pacific theater on the islands of Makin, Peleliu, and Okinawa. The Soviet campaign is set in the Eastern Front, mainly in Nazi Germany. In the American campaign, players take the role of Pvt. C. Miller as he fights alongside Sgt. Tom Sullivan, Cpl. Roebuck (later Sergeant), and Pvt. Polonsky. In the Soviet campaign, players take the role of Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko as he fights alongside the merciless Sgt. Viktor Reznov and the merciful Pvt. Chernov. In the American campaign, players, for the first time in a Call of Duty game, fight against the Japanese Imperial Army. Most combat takes place in jungles, where ambushes are likely. Combat also takes place in small mortar pits, ridges, beach heads, Japanese trenches, and small villages. Bunkers are a common sight in the American campaign, usually causing heavy casualties. The player must also fight with a crew of a PBY Catalina Black Cat. In the Soviet Campaign, players fight against the German Wehrmacht during the push towards Berlin. Combat takes place, at first, in the ruins of Stalingrad where the player is mainly a sniper. After that, combat occurs in farmland and forests of the German town of Seelow, including using a T-34 tank to smash through German defenses. Finally, Berlin is assaulted and close quarter fighting becomes a common feature. The last mission of the Soviet campaign sees the Red Army capture the Reichstag and the player planting the Soviet Flag on top of the building.

Multiplayer

World at War includes a similar multiplayer experience to that which was established in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. All versions of the game use a similar perk and ranking system and feature six different multiplayer modes, including team deathmatch and capture the flag. Also similar to CoD: Modern Warfare, World at War re-introduces the killstreak systems that can help you strive towards a win in multiplayer.

Co-op Campaign

The game also features a cooperative gameplay mode with up to two players via split screen on consoles, or four players online, for the first time in the franchise. The Wii version of the game does not include online co-op, but two players can play through a "squadmate co-op" mode which allows both players to experience the game through the same screen and point of view.

Nazi Zombies

A new addition to the Call of Duty series where you fight your way through the undead Germans earn money/points in which you can use to purchase weapons and perks (Perks not introduced until the first DLC map) and unlock doors to find new places.

Graphics

Just as assumed, as the years go on the technology is more and more revolutionized allowing the publishers to increase the graphics more and more each year (each game).

Game Information
Genre: Wrestling
Release Date: Nov 14, 2006
Developers: Yukes
Publishers: THQ
Age rating: T
Modes: Single player, multiplayer, multiplayer online
Console(s): PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360

Synopsis

What SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 improves isn't necessarily what the series actually needed to improve, but on its own merits, it's still a great wrestling game.

Gameplay

This the first WWE game to be released on Xbox 360. There are many new additions to the game. You can target other's wrestler's bodies. Such as fingers, arms, and legs. There is a story mode. You can create your own wrestler. You can have fun with that; however, you can also create your own titles , entrances , and add fireworks. However, if you don't want to use these wrestler just use regular one. The Rock , Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan for example The online is horrible. THQ has shut down the server's but you can make a private server and invite your friends..

Graphics

The graphics are good for this game especially since it was released in 2006. I love the menu and the writing is nice to look at it. The detail of the wrestling ring and the environments such as the fans and back stage looks great, but the detail to all the wrestler's looked ok. This game did come out in 2006. The appearance of the wrestlers is not fully realistic. THQ has improved in future Wrestling games.

Controls

The Momentum Meters & the Damage Meters return in SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 and both of them are contributors to the gameplay . You can perform many Wrestling Moves or taunts to build up your Momentum Meter. When it becomes full , you can perform a Finishing Move, which does a lot of gruesome damage to you opponent. If you are a veteran, with these types of wrestling games then you should have no problem with the controls. You press x to punch, b to throw them , and y to do a finisher. These controls are simple and easy to use and if you don't know them well look the up online.

-About-
In Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time you play as a boy named "Link" who is from the village of Kakariko, who is awakened by a fairy named Navi who becomes your personal fairy and even more friend. Throughout your journey you will encounter strange dungeons and monsters that you will have to fend off in order to get to defeat Ganondorf (the antagonist) who is trying to take over Hyrul.

-STORY-

The game starts in you home town of Kakariko while your having a nightmare about the wicked Ganondorf stealing princess Zelda, Its not until the great Deku tree sends a fairy to help you on your journey that you realize your dreams may be coming true and Hyrul might be in danger so you decide to set off and defeat the evil that awaits. You first start by going into the great Deku tree and killing off the poison inside of him. After you heat the first boss your on your way and can now leave Kakariko and head to Hyrul. Upon first entering Hyrul you will encounter an owl just ignore him he's super annoying and tricks you into reading over and over again. as you run throughout the field don't take to long or night will arrive and you will find your self fending off evil skeletons as you make your way to the castle. Your second boss is in the fire temple at the top of the mountain. The third boss is in the water temple behind the king as you enter a whale (I hate this temple). After you defeat the first three bosses you can get the master sword changing time taking the game from childhood to adulthood were Ganondorf has already taken control of Hyrul and you must now defeat the new bosses that have taken control. so you go on conquer puzzles and dungeons and eventually leading your way up to fighting Ganondorf and saving Hyrul.

-CONTROLS-

The controls are fairly smooth but not the easiest to learn especially on the gamecube, but you'll get the hang of it rather fast. There are some control glitches that allow you to do some very fast traveling and some amazing glitches that allow you do defeat Ganondorf after the first temple but that just ruins all the fun.

-GRAPHICS-

For the time period the game came out the graphics were amazing and worked amazingly, but now that the game is almost 15 years old you can tell there are major graphic flaws such as seeing through the map at some points, sharp edges of the map, non round characters and horrible texture quality but the game is still playable and very enjoyable.

-RATINGS-

Story - 9.5/10
Controls - 6-10
Graphics - 6/10

Overall I give this game a solid 9/10 it has amazing replay value and is very fun to play for long periods of time.

Overview
Need For Speed: Most Wanted is the nineteenth installment in the Need for Speed franchise by Criterion Games. There is lots of things I can say about this Need For Speed. Like previous Need for Speed games, This has defiantly blown standards out the water for many racing game developers. It has set the bar quite high for many racing games and I am proud to say it is one of my most favorites. Most Wanted was the seventh-best selling game in the U.S. in November 2012,[103] at 509,000 copies. However, these figures do not take into account the number of PC units sold, nor sales through digital distribution. Most Wanted was the fifth-best selling game in the United Kingdom in the week of its release. On 31 January 2013, it was mentioned Most Wanted outperformed 2011's Need for Speed: The Run.

Singleplayer Campaign
The single player campaign in Need for Speed this year is safe to say one of the best single player campaigns I have played. Most people would probably say "There all the same all you do is race" Well yes it is true but this time you earn points to gain the next level in the game then which intern unlocks a new "Most Wanted" car. this brings more excitement to the game and can allow you to become a better drive as the game progresses and the cars become harder to race against.

Need for Speed delivers a story through the eyes of a young driver (you), attempting to become the most wanted driver. Wanting to take down anybody which stands in his/hers path

For all the people that don't know. Need for Speed is a free roam map. Sort of like GTA (but you cant get out of your car or walk around) In all of the city there are different races which take place these can earn you SP points which then intern rank you up to the next car. You can unlock different cars by finding them on any part of the map these could be down alleyways or outside houses. You can unlock almost every car which is 96. But there are 6 cars you cant unlock which you have to purchase through DLC (800 MSP)You can also unlock one of these cars by beating the number 1 most wanted driver. But you need 1,000,000 SP points

Multiplayer Online
Online multiplayer is another matter. Even though you get to drive fast cars. There is no free roam in multiplayer. Which I find really annoying because it would make the games so much more fun to play and to challenge other people with there cars.

A new feature in Need for Speed is Most Wanted cars and SP points which help you get up to the next most wanted car.

Controls
Well its safe to say racing games are probably one of the most easiest games to play because all you need to know is the accelerate (RT) Brake (LT) and the steering (Left Stick) These are some of the easiest controls and mos people would be able to play the game straight away.

Graphics
The graphics for this game are quite a good standard compared to some racing games I have played before. All of the turns make the game look smooth and run together perfectly the only downfall is the rendering on the game this can be appalling sometimes and very stressful if it doesn't work. (Only ever happened once to me) But apart form that the crashes and scraps on the car can look very realistic for a game that has been released on a old console

[/spoil]Really nice professional review, try to beef up the controls and the online side of it, and i can't see any reason why this won't get published. Keep it up...

Overview
FIFA has been an iconic game from the start. Ever since it first launched on 15 July 1993 it has been a much loved game to all sport enthusiasts. So far this FIFA has been impressive with its first touch control and shooting been improved massively since FIFA 13. FIFA has become a wide spread game which many family and friends can enjoy. It can be played on or offline with you being able to play as a manger of your favorite club or as a player that you can create or play as a player which already exists.

Singleplayer Campaign
The single player campaign for FIFA is almost familiar to all people that have played FIFA. You can play as any club that is in the game from Real Madrid to Chelsea. Single player is a good way to increase your FIFA skills and to progress through game. With FIFA 14 you are able to transfer many players from different clubs such as Messi to Bayer Munich (as long as you have the money) This can help to improve your team. this campaign can be played all the way up until 2050 (What I have got to so far) Through all of the seasons you play there will be real life games and cups that you can play on the way to help you earn more money and buy better players. FIFA delivers the story/season play through the eyes of either a manager or player so you can decide

For all the people that don't know. FIFA allows you to rank up in a way to unlock different things that can help you when trying to make a team. on of the perks of ranking up your account is that you can get a financial takeover which increases the amount of money you have if playing manager mode.

Multiplayer Online
Online multiplayer is outstanding this year. for all of you that don't know FIFA ultimate team is where you can play your "Dream Team" against other players online which help you gain coins to gain new and better players so you could buy any player that is in the game. (as long as you have the coins) you can earn coins by winning online tournaments and playing seasons. Another good thing about FIFA ultimate team is EA release best performance players of the week every week. These are called In-Forms which have better stats then there original card. these can be in different positions adn can be a lot more money!

Controls
Controls this year are identical to any other FIFA that you have played. But its safe to say that FIFA does involve some skill. you can't just pick up a controller and play the game!

Graphics
The graphics for this game are quite a good standard compared to some other sport related games. But by far on the PS4 & Xbox One this has to be the best looking game. The flow of the players when making there runs look amazing. The game does have flaws though. These are fans they are the worst fan ever created in history they look like little pieces of jumping cardboard! Overall the games is a very good standard
