i have a 4gb xbox 360 slim and i need a hard drive to install games and stuff and i was wondering if i had to buy an xbox 360 hard drive from gamestop or something or if i could just use my terabyte external hard drive?

Yes you have to make sure it's flashed to FAT32 if so it will work

I think there is a way to use regular hard drives, but I'm not sure how. Look it up on YouTube.

Doesn't that only make it 32GB though? I think that was my problem or someone else's..

You can use an external drive, but you have to configure it first in your settings on Xbox. (Settings > Storage > Configure)

Just go and buy a HDD from gamestop like one for the old Xbox's you can get a 120GB for $35 at gamestop. Then after that just go on youtube and look up how to use old xbox 360 HDD on slim

Get hold of a bev 320 hard drive and hddhackr.exe then flash it with a 250 gig bin.
Not easy but do able.
