Not one of them graduated from a higher level institution, would you call all these people uneducated and say that none of these people have done anything with their life?

School is in fact very important. Those people you mentioned have went to school although dropping out of college was because we they knew what they were going to do with their life thanks to school helping towards crafting skills such as coding(you can be self taught but would not know how to start thanks to school.) therefore school is important

I agree and disagree with this post.

(GCSE) For some subjects I haven't used any since I left School. For example Maths, English, General Studies, Science etc. Although I have used Sport, Business, IT etc.

I now attend college where I study Sport, Business and IT and the building blocks that I was taught in GCSE I can apply and add to my current subjects. College is way more helpful to me as I have learnt 10x than what I did in school and have learnt useful skills that I can apply to my Job.

In conclusion half of the stuff I was taught in School I doubt I will ever use but I did also learn important things.

I just don't understand why they make you learn stuff like trigonometry and algebra. What job would require you to learn those kinds of math. i understand that we need to learn some subjects but those two are just not needed in my opinion.

p.s. PM me what job requires you to learn Trigonometry and Algebra.

Mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, civil engineer, architect, draftsman, structural engineer, pilots, navigators, astronomers, physicists, communication engineers, people working on satellites, financial analysts, pharmacist, chemist, seismologist, meteorologist, oceanographers, land surveyors, geodetic engineers, economist, computer graphics artist, game developers, optometrist and people working on optics (fiber optics for example).

These sort of things are not just made up for them to be taught at school

I personally disagree ALOT.

From the hard up and downs my 9th and 10th grade years, and not learning anything, I only now realize how important school really is.

You will say school is not important, but how will you provide for you family? How will you provide for yourself?

Jobs look at your high school record, and if you didnt do anything because "schools not important" than they wont hire you because they will think you will act the same way about your job/career.

My brother barely finished high school and is now delivering pizza's, and hes 26 and still lives at home.

No collage would take him, hes screwed for life because he half assed it in high school.

Thinking about the military road? But oh thats right, schools not important and you just dropped out. Think again, most military branches aren't taking GED's that much anymore. Hell, the Marines dont even take GED's..to get in you have to actually try and graduate with decent grades.

School is very important. Unfortunately I only found that out now, when Im in 11th grade. I wish I would have did better and didnt think like you do years ago, because now im only realizing my future is ****.

Oh and dont think that you will turn out to be one of those geniuses and will create something amazing and be a multi billionaire, because you wont. Its the hard truth.
