My iphone 5 is no longer under warranty, and my lock/sleep button has stopped working and it has been this way for probably a month now and i was wandering if there is a way to fix this if so how, and also if there is no way to fix this manually how much would it cost to replace/repair my phone?

You can send it in somewhere where they fix that kind of stuff or you can buy a replacement button and fix it yourself.
eBay ifixit and directfix has iphone 5 parts.

You can go to a local store that fixes iPhones and I'm sure they can fix it. I'm not sure how much it'd cost since it'd vary from store to store. It would void your warranty but yours expired so it doesn't matter.

But you can use Assistive Touch on your phone to lock your screen for now. Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch.

This might sound odd, but I thought mine stopped working about a week after I got it, but I found out I just wasn't pressing it at the right spot. Mine only works if I press down on the left side of it, on the very edge of it.
