Axe wrote Im looking for some good, base heavy headphones. Any advice?

How much money do you have? We can go from the $30 AKG K518 to the $2,000 Fostex TH900.

nightnoob wrote Your budget: $50-100

Which genres you'll be listening to: Kpop

What kind you want: In ear.

Whether you want open or closed headphones: Either is fine.

What you are listening from: Samsung galaxy S3

Someone with inline control (pause, play, volume) that works on android but not necessary

Also. I finally got around to modding my Beyerdynamic T50P. I no longer hate them.

As you probably know, I bought a pair of Custom One Pro's that you guys recommended me. They're brilliant and I love them, however on the plane last night I noticed a large rattling noise coming from the left ear cup. It only happens when there's bass. I listen to mostly bass heavy music so it's really getting on my nerves. Any ideas as to what it could be?

And you know how I was talking about how I needed a new pair of earphones just in case my Bose one's blew - well they have. This'll be my third pair now.

To anyone who's thinking of buying bose - don't do it. Not worth the hassle. I've had enough. They take 2-3 months to fix them too. Especially now as I'm in the Gym quite a bit, I've been having to wear my COP and they're not great, not to mention the looks I get!

Thinking about sending the IE2 back to Bose with this in it:

I've bloody had enough. Sent my Zeppelin mini back to B&W had a brand new one back within 5 days. 5 days!!!!!! And it was out of warranty.

Yeah so any ideas as to what to do with the COP?

First remove the earpads and check if there's anything on the driver like a hair. If not, then send them in for warranty. But that's not a very common problem... How loud do you listen to your music? Also, maybe it's the music file itself?

I listen to mainly rap.
Budget: $100 or less
In ear; closed
Listening from iPhone
I like quality sound, but I would also like something that stays in well, a sport headphone. I'm considering the Sennheiser/Adidas CX 685 earphones. A friend of mine owns a pair, and I've tried them once or twice. I just want to know what you think.

Check out the Shure SE215 and Klipsch X10. The SE215 is a perfect running/working out IEM because it is designed so the cable goes over the ear, it's extremely comfortable, and it's durable. If the cable is ruined, it can be easily replaced because it can be detached from the IEMs themselves. The Klipsch X10 is also good for what you want and very cheap right now, but the design is probably not as good as the SE215 for how you'll be using them.

I think it may be. It's compressed MP3 @ ~250 Kbs - come to think of it I had the same problem with my old headphones. I think it's just some songs, they might just be bad quality.

What are your opinions on the MDR-R1s? I got them on special offer for 100 GBP along with an Xperia Z. Think they're awesome, great quality and build. Not bassy enough for me though, I'd say if they had bass like COP but build and design of the MDR-R1 then they'd be the perfect headphones.

I have, well had, an S2 and played it through max volume + I had it rooted so I manually increased the level beyond the phone's stock limit by altering the digital and analogue output on EX Tweaks. It's loud - but that's just how I like my music. I will end up with hearing problems, but I just find that with android, you need to make the music loud otherwise you get no bass. I've used bass boosters and I get loss of sound quality, something I don't when I wack it up full volume.

Regarding the MDR-1R, they'd be an upgrade to what you have, but a very different sound signature.

For the rest, uhh...that's definitely not what you should be doing but if you're fine with hearing aids when you're 40, that's cool. If you really want bass, get a Digizoid ZO2. I love my ZO.

Do you require noise cancelling? Like, do you often fly in planes?
