Eighty bucks? Hey, maybe I'll actually buy these instead of just saying I intend to! It seems to have a signature unlike anything I have or have ever heard, so it's perfect. I'm going to try to make this happen.

To think I was really close to considering paying $180 for them last week...

Someone just bought 10 of them. I'm hoping I don't see 10 of these being flipped next week from the same person.

You don't have much to lose; if you don't like them, sell them to someone on HF for the price you paid. Plus, they'd probably satisfy your Q701 urges; I know I have no reason to get one now. Now I'm wafting between the ESW9 and DT880 as my next. I'm mainly interested in hearing how the DT880s sound like with the closed mod.

EDIT: Someone just bought 20. What the actual.

EDIT 2: Yeah you're going to have to buy quickly; It went from 3 sold to 137 sold in 25 minutes. There are at least 4 sold every time I refresh.

That's what I was thinking, too, I won't need to buy the Q/K701s. They'll do the same thing for me.

I was looking up reviews for the Q701, and oddly enough, I saw an eBay banner with the AD900 at $166, which was lower than most other stores, so I thought, "Heh, I wonder if that's legit." And BOOM. Saw it.

And sweet! It'd be nice to compare impressions.

Ultrasone PRO900 or Beyerdynamic DT990 and an amp if you don't mind open. Beyers sound less grating than the Ultrasones I've tried.
