Mainly Rap/hip-hop. I do listen to other genre's but rarely.
Over-ear.
Doesn't matter if open or closed.
Listened on my computer, or with an Fiio amp.

Ultrasone PRO900 if you can deal with treble. There's also the HD650 but probably not going to work with a FiiO. HE400 is a little out of the budget. Under the budget there's the PRO700MKII, V-moda M100, and some of the Beyers like the DT770.

Anyone heard the new Apple buds yet? A few songs in them I'm thoroughly impressed and I'm not sure why. I've heard a lot worse for more than $20... More than $200 for that matter (I'm looking at you, Beats Solo). I'd like some more time these in a decent environment with more music but for now I'm going to tentatively say good on Apple with these.

Waiting for a chance to hear them. The measurements look pretty average. I've heard some nice $30 IEMs and they don't really have roll offs in bass like the earbuds appear to have. I did actually hear a $5 sony earbud with extra over powering bass once, which was odd considering that it was an earbud.

Budget: 130GBP

Music preferences: House, dusbtep, mainstream stuff, liquid dubstep, opera, grime, R&B, RAP, HipHop. Basically, anything with lots of Bass, however, I need defined highs.

Type/form-factor: Around ear or on

Open or closed: Closed

Listening from: Samsung galaxy s2

Details: AS I said, they need to be packed full of bass, as well as maintaining a good high and mid. Comfort and portability is also just as important, as well as looks. I like a smart, elegant design. I've had a look at these: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and these: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Any ideas?

EDIT: I listen to high quality music, at least 320 and above. If I can, I'll always try and get it in FLAC or ALAC. Got a song that's 1711KBPS. Second thing - I like that shaky feeling you get with bass, that's quite an important thing for me Sorry I'm very picky, but if I'm spending a decent amount of money on headphones, I want them to be just right.

Audio Technica PRO700MKII. V-moda LP2, Ultrasone HFI-580. Although I'm guessing you want a V-shaped response so the HFI 580 should be the best in those three. No idea about the AKGs you linked since it's rather new. The others are dark according to most.

Do any of you guys have an opinion on the new Beats Executives? I'd say they're the most stylish set of cans by Dre yet. I'm aware of your guys' opinions on Beats as a whole as I share many of the same. I was just wondering if the internals have improved at all with their new release. I'm assuming not but I guess I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Anyone heard them? Thoughts?

Looking for a reply that's not a rant about the whole beats line, lol. Thanks dudes.
