Hey, I wanna start DJing, not to play anywhere just as a hobby and I've been looking at 2 possible controllers to buy and I was wondering if anyone knows which one is better?

1. Numark Mixtrack Pro 2

2. DDJ WeGo 1

I've being rearing towards the WeGo as it looks more practical but it would be good to get some advice on it.

I have a mixtrack pro II, I got it 2 years ago, and it's still amazing to this day. It's really good, many practical features too but you need Serato DJ and not Serato DJ intro or you're limited.

Would personally have a look at the Pionneer DDJ-SB, the cheapest one in their DDJ range, I bought that as a starter controller, although I used it with the intention of going on to CDJs and to DJ for money. It did the job great, has everything you'll need to practise and progress, without having unnecessary complexities.

If you don't like the look of the SB, I'd suggest the Numark mixtrack, it is basic, and costs less than the WeGo, which really isn't anything special.

What do you mix? I plan on mixing mostly drum and bass and I've heard the DDJ WeGo is the best for DnB.

I was looking at the SB, although it looks good it's quite a lot bigger than both the Numark and the WeGo which would be a problem for me

There is no such thing as one controller being better for a certain type of genre, especially at the level you are talking about. A controller you will need should only have 2 input channels, a cross-fader, a set of filter and effects nobs (however effects aren't imperative), tempo control, and hopefully a slip mode feature (again, not imperative as your software will have one integrated into it). Meaning all would be identical.

EDIT: Rather than posting again, I just read the SB reply, the SB really isn't that big, I also have tried both the WeGo and Mixtrack Pro II which admittedly are slightly smaller, but not enough to matter.
