Hey guys so i have been pretty fascinated with using an ouija board and there has been some pretty freaky stories about using it so i decided to try it.
I read and followed the instructions carefully and me and my friend tried it.
At the end we both knew it was fake and it wasnt any ghost or demon controlling it, it was us! this is called the ideomotor effect which means we are doing something unconsciously (without knowing).
Also there has been a lot of stories about throwing it away/burning it and it coming back somehow... well people who say that are trying to scare you or their friend probably moved it back into their house to prank them... I tried burning it and it disintegrated quite easily and i threw another one away and guess what?! it hasnt appeared back in my house magically!
this is a video revealing that it is fake by a popular illusionist called Derren Brown : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
He has also made more videos showing how popular paranormal phenomenons are a hoax
Also Penn and Teller have revealed that the Ouija Board is fake too : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

i hope this will put a lot of peoples mind at rest and if you do try it a ghost/demon wont haunt you or your house, it is all in your head! ;)

Who would have believed that a cardboard board could actually do anything in the first place?

A lot of people... i know a lot of people who are too scared to use one of being haunted or possessed by a ghost, or simply just contacting a spirit.
There is a lot of easily frightened people who i have met and a lot of people who are petrified of anything to do with ghosts and i am clearing this up.

Proves nothing. Maybe wherever you did this at isn't haunted, so what spirits could you actually call? The ideomotor effect really means nothing unless you can prove it every time on a neurological scale. Spirits can use your mind and energy to do small things like that. It's call a partial possession. They can mess with your subconscious. I'm not saying Ouija boards are real, but you can't disprove them that easily.

Well you can, they are simply mass produced pieces of cardboard. It's clear that the Ouija board only works on people that subconsciously expect it to work and I'm sure if the individuals involved where perhaps paralyzed in the upper half of their body the cup wouldn't move at all.

And yet, you still cannot. They are NOW mass produced pieces of cardboard. They used to be solid wood. Want something that has a greater chance of working? Go get a wooden one from a person that practices voodoo. I'm sure it wouldn't move either if they are paralyzed, seeing how spirits would mess with your subconscious and not your arms. If you can't move your arms because the connection from the brain to your arms is broken, a spirit can't do it either unless it's strong enough to physically move your arm. That amount of energy needed would be insane. Again, I'm not saying they are real. I'm just saying you can't disprove them that easily. It will be almost as difficult as disproving a god, since really they are the same type of things/beings.

if you do try it in a supposedly haunted place you are going to be expecting something to happen with the ouija board causing you to more than likely move it unconsciously and the answers will be what you were thinking as when me and my friend played it the answers we were getting were what either me or my friend was thinking about at that time.
Also there is a lot more proof that it is fake as scientists have ran tests and they all came back with the ideomotor effect. I have yet to see any evidence that it is real.

I'm not saying I 100% believe in Ouija Boards, but I do have one thing.

My mum has told me that, when she was younger (Around 14/15) she tried one with her friend. At the time, she had a pen pal in Switzerland (I think it was Switzerland) . When she done the Ouija board, it spelt out 'Coach Crash' and 'Death'. Two weeks later, her pen pal was supposed to come over to her and visit her, along with other pen pal's with other friends. But the coach never got over to England. In fact, it crashed, and all people on it died. Including her pen pal....

Coincidence much?
