Lacuna wrote Everyone I just want to caution you to have the best of anti virus if you are browsing the web on unknown/untrusted sites. I was on YouTube and clicked on a link next thing I know a FBI thing pops up and says I have been looking at child porn/zoophilia, and committing terrorist acts. Luckily I knew about this and could fix it but I just wanted to post this to help everyone and to let you know that it is still out there!
So all we do is either restore to factory settings or put it back to and earlier date?

To get it off yes but that won't completely get rid of it because it is an adaptive virus. To completely get rid of it there are 3 ways. Command Prompt, Safe Mode, or get an expert to do it for you.

How does command prompt help at all?

You really have to know what you are doing and know your way around computers to be able to use command prompt to do stuff. But it is one of the most versatile things you can use. From virus scans, formatting, getting ip's, and so much more it's unbelievable.

I know how to use command prompt, but you can't virus scan from the cmd. I just really dont see how it would help you.

My stepdad is a computer programmer has been for like 30 years lol but he taught me some stuff and you can use it to clear your system cache, reboot the drive, reset it, then go through safe mode to clean the virus out.

I'm also a programmer, but command prompt does nothing special to clear a virus. Anyway it does not matter I wasn't trying to belittle you.

FTO wrote Quite scary that, this why I have norton internet security just incase.

It doesn't matter what type of security you have. there has been many with norton, avast, and other top security software that was infected. It is a very powerful and intrusive virus once you get on the link nothing stops it from infecting you unless you have substantial measures to prevent it and there is some sort of add on for Mozilla that helps block stuff like that and harmful ads.

Lacuna wrote Yes even on a mobile device it is called a (drive by) infection because there is nothing that can stop it from infecting you. It isn't one of those common ones you have to download it is hidden within the script of a website and as soon as you go on it you are infected. It could be a random add, just browsing sites, or pretty much anything. Here is a link of info about it [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Lmao you just dont use not to click on links we dont know and just put up a link like that. lMAO

Yes, My sister got it.

There is an Infected link on YouTube.

So don't click on any weird links.

My sister had to do some command prompt stuff and all that in safe mode on your pc.
