So i purchased a turtle beach Ear Force XL1's about 3ish months ago, thinking it be a wise investment and not have to buy one of the crap original mics every month, for the first 2 months i really enjoyed them, they helped me in shooter games and allowed me to communicate to my friends. However with in the last month or so they have been shorting out little by little, not allowing me to talk least wise. At first it was for about a minute. Then the next week until i unplugged the cord. Now I'm lucky if i can talk. All my turtle beach do is my a scratching noise, as if it was a nail on metal or something around those lines. What do i have to do in order to fix this problem.

This happened to me too. You have to buy a new cord, because turtle beach cords tend to mess up after a while.

from what you have said i think the wire that connects the controller to where you adjust the game and chat volume needs to be replaced. same thing happened to me and i broke it. it turns out if you call them up they send you a free one. that should help.

Its the wires bro. The wires break real easy and im atucally gential with my turtle beaches. When i has xl1s they only lasted 2 months. the wires started curling and noises in the mic, and couldent get the mic to work..So i threw them out and bought some X31s. had them for 6 months now! and they work Perfect still

Exactly. The cord that goes from the controller to the headset is what needs to be replaced.
