How To Protect Saplins???

Hello
I was wondering how to protect saplings, because in my friends server, when i go to hit a sapling, it says 'this saplings is protected'
And idea how to do that

I think it's a plugin tht when u chop down a tree,a sapling automatically appears so it can grow again

yea, i have that plugin, but that doesnt protect it though, hmmmmm?
