I want to upgrade my Acer aspire but Am a little confused on a couple of things. To start can I use any processor I want to on my PC like an Intel i5 2500k? And if so do I need to upgrade the power supply in the PC? Thanks and here are the specs for the computer below and if anyone can recommend a processor that is under $250 and will run games like MW3 without lagging, that would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I'm pretty sure that Cpu you currently have will be the same socket as the 2nd gen intel cpu which means that you could just add a new processer but for a budget card I would recommend a Gtx550Ti not most peoples cup of tea but I like it. I would also like to add with such a small budget you'll never get to play mw3 without lag.

Edit: You'll also want around another 4GB of Ram and to run the 550Ti you'll need a new psu.
