PS3 Controller Wont Charge

I just got my PS3 and have played for about 5 hours, my controller died and when i plug in the cord to the ps3 and the controller it doesn't do anything. At first i let it sit for about 30 minutes and came back and the controller wouldn't turn on. Any ideas?

Try using the other USB port. Try wiggling the cord.
