It can't be mars because mars only has 2 moons :/

I might do research on the planets that nasa has found that seem to mimic earth sand see how many moons there are.

There are 4 moons.

I find the Mars theory nearly impossible, first off because Mars has NEVER been mentioned in the zombie storyline, and secondly, because no space station or equipment is within Shangri la. It was clear in Moon that while in space, the characters needed such equipment, and I'm not really sure why Mars would be any different.

idk if it is relevant or not, but there are lunar landers that can be seen on shangri-la in the mines

Anyone ever thought of the moon map when thinking about this? No? Well moon takes place back in time hense the "Pangea" theory, and when you complete the Easter egg on moon there is a large chunk of the earth floating off into space which could have later in time collided with a distant planet and therefore the organisms from earth start to grow and inhabit this planet so maybe that's why on shangri-la from a distance it looks like your on earth on a different planet as such , to shorten this down shangri-la might have taken place After moon
