You can only chose one :/ I chose vampire also and now I can't get the exploding bolts or Dwarven Crossbow Sad

If you want to do both your best off starting as a dawnguard and after you have finished that you can get serana to turn you into a vampire lord after

If you want to play the other side then you should have made a save when you first meet Harkon. If not then I would say take another character through. Or start another character for that alone.
