How did my dad do this?

My dad isn't that good with computers, he went to plug in his iPhone to my laptop. So what he plugs the charging cable into a cat5 port instead of a USB port. I took it out and plugged it in right. Later that day, I tried to put in the cat5 port, and the USB charger was way too big. I could not get it in no matter how hard I tried. My dad must be a wizard.

Did you try putting it in the other slot or make sure the white or black peice is on the bottem?

No, I know how to work a USB, my dad just somehow managed to put it into a CAT5 port.

your using a cabling standard to specify an Ethernet port.
