I'm pretty sure its just glitched on the server part. It wouldn't be the first time a game mode messed up. Look at Combat training on BO how it used to put you in games. And Private match in MW3 when it first came out it people would search for a match and sometimes it would put you in someone else's private match.

But i had the same thing happen to me earlier today.
