Since this is General Discussion, I figure I will offer up a general discussion topic for everyone here to read and educate themselves.

People are getting really upset lately about the crackdown that's going on here in General Discussion.

"It's not fair...it's General Discussion"
"We can talk about what we want to!"
"Staff is corrupt"

This is just a FEW of the responses I've gotten.

Not to mention, people have once again went back to releasing my "***" ... despite the fact that no one realizes I closed my shop down 9 months ago when I moved and what not...but that's irrelevant.

Personal attacks, I've got death threats, and more. Why? All because I closed topics that were spam and enforced rules.

So let's do some General Discussion here...I want some inputs from people.

What do you think about it?

I put the rules up awhile ago now and still daily...there's

"Need oG GT"
"Rate my Commentary"
"10th lobby here"
"Sub to my youtube/twitter"
"Black ops montage/MW3 Montage"
"Need 48 hour trial"

So...despite the fact that rules have been posted, people still post and still break the OBVIOUS rules. So, why is it that people are so upset when they do it and they in turn get banned?

We're not asking for posting to stop, as you can see, I do leave some threads that are worthwhile for discussion.

This is a General DISCUSSION, so what people need to understand is, your topic needs to be up for DISCUSSION.

Sub to my YT, Need 48 Hour Trial...you cannot discuss that. That's leeching.

What's better, coke or pepsi? .... What does that have to do with a Gaming Community? It's been asked OVER 100 times in multiple threads.

I'm going to leave this open for a bit, I really want to see what the maturity level is in some of the responses.

Replies like this, I'm not holdin back...I'll IP ban you on the spot.

I want this area to focus on a more mature discussion basis.

When the quality of threads becomes of a higher standard, people will be given the slack in here. When it's abused, we take the slack and hang you with it.

This website is not a small one and I do not want this community to be seen as a bunch of leechers, kids, and idiots.

So...that being said...let's discuss.

So wait, we can we still put "-TTgNameHere" if it a long messege / or reply?

Or is it NO at all no matter what

Totally agree, people need to acknowledge the fact that staff/moderators are in charge and need to follow instructions.
Staff aren't corrupt it's what they do, they do what they have to do to make this site what it is

It's mainly the reason because nobody even has the attention span to read let alone remember the rules on this Forum.

If you leave the GD alone for what, an hour, it will instantly be full of ''RAET MY SHOES'' ''P0MGH MY HAMSTER DIEDED'' threads, etc.

Nothing really can be done.

I personally agree with you Icy-Tank, this may be a general discussion but it is not a place for people to comment things like 'I need an oG tag' when there is a section with a specific sticky in the xbox 360 general discussion purely because they cannot be asked to look for it

I personally think the rules are fine and people that have been banned or warned after you put the announcement up and the rules have been there for many, many months

p.s If people disagree with me then thumb me down im not fussed

No

That's the whole reason for a 20 character limit.

If you're not a gold member and you put your name to fill 20 characters, you'll be warned and banned for spamming/bypassing 20 character limit filter.

Why do you need to put your name in it?
It has your username on the left hand side of the comment anyway so what's the point?
