MINECRAFT WON'T START!! HELP!!!

MINECRAFT WON'T START!! HELP!!!Posted:

Firstly i will tell you the problems i encounter when attempting to start the game ( click the printscreen links )
i can't connect to Minecraft.net and the following error occurs (<html><body><font color="#808080"><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><center>Failed to update news<br>java.net.SocketException: Invalid argument: connect</center></font></body></html>)
When i Login to minecraft and force update the following error shows up - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
(Fatal error (4) : invalid Argument)
Then When i don't force update this freeze appears - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
( loader freezes at 95% )
Secondly if you have solved or can solve any of these issues above, contact me via pm or reply to this topic. i will make a video and upload it to youtube showing you what exactually is the problem with my loader and computer (mac osx lion)

Try going to ur .minecraft folder and deleting everything.
Then starting mine craft..
It wil auot download all the needed things

Is java allowed through your firewall?
